A Markham resident in his 70's was killed as a resutl of a fatal hit and run pedestrian accident that occurred on Saturday, January 12, 2013. According to reports, a vehicle travelling southbound on Kennedy Road struck a 72-year-old man who was crossing the road in a westbound direction. There was a sad and tragic hit-and-run accident on Highway 401 on New Years Day. A seven-year-old boy from Mississauga died after the vehicle he was travelling in was rear-ended on Highway 401.
