Ontario Driver's Owe Duty of Care To PedestriansIn Ontario, drivers of motor vehicles owe a duty of care to pedestrians. Often, when a pedestrian is struck by a car or other motor vehicle in Ontario, there is a presumption of negligence against the driver of the motor vehicle. Nonetheless, pedestrian motor vehicle accidents are often vigorously defended and, as such, early preservation of facts and witness accounts is critical.

Ontario Fatal Accident and Wrongful Death ClaimsIn Ontario, when a person is killed as a result of a car or truck accident, the family of the deceased may be able to advance a wrongful death claim. In fatal car accident cases, the members of the deceased’s family may obtain compensation for their finacial lossess and pain and suffering. These fatal accident and wrongful death damages can include compensation for the loss of guidance, care and companionship of their loved one, as well as loss of services. Ontario Truck Accident LawyerThis Rosemond fatal accident involved a passenger vehicle and commercial dump truck. Sadly, many accidents involving dump trucks, tractor trailers and other large commercial vehicles are often fatal for the occupants of the passenger vehicle. Due to the size and mass of commercial vehicles, they can cause devastating damage during an impact. Large trucks are also more difficult to slow down or stop in emergency situations. As such, speed can often be a factor in Ontario truck accidents. An Ontario accident involving a large dump truck, tractor trailer or commercial vehicle is more complex than motor vehicle collisions involving passenger vehicles only. Due to their complexity, Ontario truck accident cases require a Ontario truck accident lawyer with a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle regulations on both the federal and provincial level. Truck and transport companies are required to follow safety and inspection regulations concerning their equipment and their drivers' hours of service. Ontario tractor trailer and truck accidents are caused by a variety of factors, often related to vehicle safety, driver skill level, and driver fatigue. If you have lost a loved one as a result of a fatal truck accident or car accident, contact Iacobelli Law Firm to speak with a Ontario tractor trailer and truck accident lawyer.
