Lawyer ProfileAndrew A. Iacobelli
Andrew A. Iacobelli is a personal injury lawyer, and he is licensed to practice law in Florida, Ontario, Michigan and Texas. Andrew is also admitted to practice in the United States Federal Courts, and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal. Andrew obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, and his Juris Doctor degree (cum laude) from Michigan State University. Andrew was the recipient of a merit scholarship from Michigan State University College of Law. While attending law school, Andrew was a publications manager and editor with the Michigan State University Journal of International Law. Andrew was also among a select group of students that earned membership on the Michigan State Moot Court and Advocacy Board, a top-ranked moot court program that represented the law school at intercollegiate advocacy competitions throughout the United States. In that capacity, Andrew earned his university an award for best brief at a national moot court competition in California. Andrew commenced his professional career with a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Gerald Lostracco at the 35th Circuit Court of Michigan. Andrew then joined a preeminent medical malpractice insurance defense firm at their Palm Beach, Florida office. In this capacity, Andrew obtained experience in complex litigation defending physicians and hospitals. Andrew expanded on this experience by joining the West Palm Beach office of one of the largest and most distinguished law firms in the State of Florida. Andrew litigated with a nationally recognized trial practice involved in the representation of primarily insurance companies, medical providers and large corporations in the defense of claims involving serious personal injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith. Andrew obtained extensive experience handling complex liability cases, usually involving damages exposure of several millions of dollars. Andrew became increasingly frustrated because his efforts were being used to minimize or defeat victims' claims. Andrew has since dedicated his career to helping ordinary people achieve justice. Andrew initially practiced with another plaintiff's personal injury firm, before establishing Iacobelli Law Firm P.C. with offices in Ontario Canada and Iacobelli Law Firm P.A. with offices in Florida USA. Andrew restricts his practice to the representation of personal injury victims in claims involving serious injuries, Catastrophic injuries and wrongful death in Ontario and Florida, and is a member of trial lawyers and justice associations in both Canada and the United States. Andrew also regularly represents injured clients in both Canada and the United States that are involved in cross-border accidents and he is the author of the book, "Are You a Canadian Injured in the United States? Claim the Damages and Insurance Coverage the Right Way." Andrew has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of injury victims and their families, and he is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. |
