Domenic M. Jannetta*
Domenic joined the firm in 2022 to head the Real Estate, Wills and Estates and Corporate departments after practicing in Vaughan since 2005. He has assisted numerous clients in buying or selling their homes, refinancing their properties (both residential and commercial), negotiating both commercial and residential leases for Landlords and Tenants and assisting clients in development projects. Domenic also assists clients in Estate Planning, including the preparation of their Wills and Powers of Attorneys, Corporate Wills and Estate Freezes. Domenic’s Estate practice also actively includes assisting Estates in obtaining Certificates of Appointment and Estate Administration. In the past Domenic has participated in The Lung Association’s “The Will Campaign”, the proceeds of which benefited The Lung Association’s medical research and community health programs. While attending the University of Toronto, Domenic worked as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament at Queen’s Park. While completing his law degree, Domenic worked for the Indian Claims Commission as well as the Department of Justice in Ottawa, where he assisted in developing Crown litigation strategies for Aboriginal Land Claims. Domenic remains active in the community through coaching baseball and hockey. He was also the Media Director for the 2000 University of Toronto Formula SAE Racing Team, which raised over $30,000 and finished 8th in international competition. Domenic is also the author of the Ontario Law Blog. When not working or thinking about law, Domenic enjoys cooking, photography and plays several instruments, including bass and guitar.
