A Markham resident in his 70's was killed as a resutl of a fatal hit and run pedestrian accident that occurred on Saturday, January 12, 2013. This fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Kennedy Road and Dennison in Markham, Ontario. According to reports, a vehicle travelling southbound on Kennedy Road struck a 72-year-old man who was crossing the road in a westbound direction. Sadly, the pedestrian died as a result of this collision. The vehicle involved in this fatal accident failed to remain at the scene.
According to York Regional Police, the suspect involved in this collision turned himself in on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. The driver, a 26-year-old male, is facing multiple charges. The police investigation remains ongoing.
