On Wednesday March 22, 2017, an 81 year old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the area of 16th Avenue and Mint Leaf Road in the City of Markham. Officers from the York Regional Police attended and investigated at the scene of this Markham fatal pedestrian accident. It is reported that investigators determined that a burgundy 2015 Honda Civic was making a turn and struck the pedestrian within the intersection. The Honda was being driven by a 91 year old woman also from the City of Markham.
