Head-on car accidents are among the most devastating accidents in Ontario. Although there can be countless causes for Ontario head-on accidents, among the leading cause is distracted driving. When a vehicle crosses the centre line, head-on collisions can result in catastrophic injuries and death as is the case in this recent tragedy. The family of the young man killed in this head on accident may be able to advance insurance claims for their loss. Additionally, the injured occupants of the other vehicle, will also be able to advance claims.
In addition to no-fault insurance benefits payable after a car accident, there may also be a civil claim against the at-fault driver. These claims are also typically paid for by insurance. More information would be needed in order to identify which vehicle caused this head-on crash.
