Patients with Depuy Hip implants have reported problems, including pain and failure to heal after surgery. Patients with DePuy implants also report groin, hip or back pain, as well as crunching, popping or cracking noises coming from the hip joint.
Other symptoms reported include limping, gait dysfunction, favoring one leg over the other, hip dislocation, fractures, and difficulty sitting or rising from a seated position. Some patients report heat or swelling, rash, or discoloration, fatigue and fever.
It has been reported that 1 in 8 of the DePuy ASR hip replacements will need revision surgery within 5 years of the hip implant.
Ontario Personal Injury Lawyer, Andrew A. Iacobelli, is investigating DePuy hip implant failures. If you had a DePuy implant after January 1, 2006 call Andrew Iacobelli for a free consultation.
