Articling Student

ARTICLING STUDENT - Position Available

Iacobelli Law Firm Professional Corporation has an opening for an Articling Student to join our team. The position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on personal injury matters with other members of the firm and independently.  We represent injured clients all over the Province of Ontario, with varying degrees of injury. Our firm works as a team, so the candidate will be involved in virtually all aspects of the case from inception to conclusion. 

As we are a growing practice, the successful candidate will also be considered for full-time employment as an associate at the conclusion of the articling term.  

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or an LLB (Bachelor of Laws)
• Permission to Article in Ontario
• Attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in civil litigation and personal injury law

Responsibilities

• Appear in court on motions
• Attend Examinations for Discovery
• Attend Mediation
• Conduct legal research
• Prepare memorandums, letters, medical summaries, etc.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and applications
